Meta Data Deletion

DATA DELETION

These instructions explain how to disconnect Instagram or Meta from Regent and how to request deletion of connected-account data that Regent stores or processes through heyregent.com, app.heyregent.com, and related Regent-operated workflows.

Regent is the service. `heyregent.com` is the website where it is offered.

1. Disconnecting Your Instagram or Meta Account

If in-product account disconnection is available in your current Regent workspace, you may use that option to disconnect a linked Instagram or Meta account.

If you cannot disconnect the account yourself, email legal@heyregent.com from the email address associated with your Regent account and request that the connected Instagram or Meta account be disconnected.

2. How to Request Deletion

To request deletion of connected-account data associated with Instagram or Meta, send a request to legal@heyregent.com and include:

  • your Regent account email address;
  • the Instagram username or Meta-linked account identifier, if available;
  • a short description of the deletion request;
  • whether you want only the platform connection removed or also want associated stored connected-account data deleted where feasible.

3. What We Delete

Subject to technical, operational, and legal limitations, Regent will use commercially reasonable efforts to delete or de-identify connected-account data we no longer need to retain. This may include:

  • stored Instagram or Meta access metadata associated with the connection;
  • stored profile and sync data associated with that linked account;
  • certain cached or stored insights, media references, or workflow metadata tied to the connection;
  • publishing authorization data we no longer need once the connection is removed.

4. What May Be Retained

Regent may retain limited records where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, abuse prevention, auditability, or backup integrity. For example, we may retain:

  • system logs showing that a connection existed or was removed;
  • records needed to investigate misuse, fraud, or policy violations;
  • data that is technically difficult to immediately purge from backups until normal backup rotation occurs;
  • information we are legally required or reasonably entitled to retain.

Processing time

We aim to review and process deletion requests within 15 business days, although some requests may take longer depending on account verification, technical complexity, backup constraints, and any legal retention requirements.
