How to Create Your AI Avatar
Your avatar is the face of your reels. Upload one clear headshot and Regent either uses it as-is or generates a polished avatar from it in about 60 seconds. You can keep several avatars — one photo per avatar — and switch the active one whenever you like.
Before you start
- Completed onboarding
- One clear, well-lit headshot (PNG or JPG)
Steps

Open the Avatar page
Go to Reel Generation → Avatar. Your active avatar, if any, shows at the top with its status.

Upload a headshot
One clear photo of your face, front-facing and well lit. PNG or JPG.

Choose Upload or Generate
Upload saves your photo as-is for reels. Generate has the AI process it into a polished avatar — about 60 seconds.

Review and activate
Preview the result. When the status shows Ready it becomes your active avatar. Older avatars stay in the history grid below, so you can switch back or create variations.

How many photos do I need?+
One photo per avatar. Upload more photos to create more avatars and switch between them — for example different outfits or settings.
Can I use someone else's photo?+
No. The consent policy requires avatars to be of you. See the AI Avatar and Voice Consent policy linked on the Security page.
How realistic are the reels?+
Reels render your avatar with lip-sync matched to your cloned voice. Quality depends on the source photo — clear, front-facing, well-lit headshots work best.
