How the Weekly Content Calendar Works

The calendar is where every week starts. Click Generate Weekly Plan and Regent researches your competitors and your account, then fills seven days with a topic, hook, format, and posting time per slot. You approve the plan once, and content generation unlocks.

Before you start

  • Completed onboarding
  • At least one competitor added (recommended — cold start works from your niche alone)

Steps

  1. 1

    Open the Calendar page

If no plan exists yet you see an empty state with a Generate Weekly Plan button.

  2. 2

Choose the account to plan for

Use your connected Instagram account, or type a handle manually if you have not connected yet.

  3. 3

    Generate

Regent analyzes your competitors, niche, and posting preferences. Progress shows in real time; generation typically takes a few minutes.

  4. 4

    Review the week

The grid shows each day: topic, hook, format (reel or carousel), and posting time, derived from your onboarding preferences.

  5. 5

    Approve the plan

Click Approve plan to unlock content generation for the week. If fully-autonomous mode is enabled, plans auto-approve and the agent proceeds on its own.

  6. 6

    Adjust when needed

Shift Week moves the plan by 7 days, Regenerate discards and rebuilds it, and Next Week queues the following week.

Frequently asked

What does Regent base the plan on?+

Your competitors' top-performing recent posts, your niche and audience from onboarding, your posting preferences, and — once connected — your own account performance via the insights loop.

Can Regent run fully on autopilot?+

Yes. Fully-autonomous mode auto-approves plans and proceeds to generation without manual sign-off. Most creators start in approval mode and switch once they trust the output.

Can I regenerate a plan I do not like?+

Yes. Regenerate discards the current week and builds a new one. Individual slots can also be reviewed before generating content from them.
